A Fantastic Surprise!

Jim & I, on Monday, November 26, 2007, will celebrate our 25 wedding anniversary. This weekend has been one of great surprises. The first surprise and probably the biggest of my life was expecting to pick up 4 lobsters from my little sister, Leah, who lives in California. We expected to pick them up at the airport.
This is what we thought we were picking up. It turned out to be this:

For those of you who don't know, this is my only son, who has been away at college.
He is 21, his name is Jonah! He really surprised us on Thanksgiving! It was such an awesome surprise!

Tomorrow, I will be out of blogging World!

I am excited about my trip, but a little sad, also. Tomorrow, Monday, October 15, I am taking a train to Chicago. I will get there on Tuesday around 4 p.m. I will take a bus to another train station, and a train to Hammond, Indiana. I will be gone until Sunday, October 21. I am going to a great ladies conference, at the First Baptist Church in Hammond. I have gone about 3 times or more. http://www.christianwomanhood.org/. This has more information about the conference. I get to see my only son, Jonah, because the college and church are connected. I am excited about the trip. I will miss blogging, so sad. I really love blogging. Anyway, keep posting, when I get back, I will read all the wonderful posts. I am sure that I will have a great time! I can't wait!

A cool picture!

If you will notice this sign, it says teach on the top, but it says learn on the bottom. I love to teach! I think this sign is awesome!

This is for all the Moms

Thanks, Gerrie, http://apageatatime.blogspot.com/ for emailing this to me. It is really long but well worth the reading.

I'm invisible.

It all began to make sense, the blank stares, the lack of response, the way
one of the kids will walk into the room while I'm on the phone and ask to be
taken to the store. Inside I'm thinking, "Can't you see I'm on the phone?"
Obviously not. No one can see if I'm on the phone, or cooking, or sweeping
the floor, or even standing on my head in the corner, because no one can
see me at all.

I'm invisible.

Some days I am only a pair of hands, nothing more: Can you fix this? Can
you tie this? Can you open this? Some days I'm not a pair of hands; I'm
not even a human being. I'm a clock to ask, "What time is it?" I'm a
satellite guide to answer, "What number is the Disney Channel?" I'm a
car to order, "Right around 5:30 , please."

I was certain that these were the hands that once held books and the eyes
that studied history and the mind that graduated summa cum laude - but
now they had disappeared into the peanut butter, never to be seen again.
She's going ... she's going... she's gone!

One night, a group of us were having dinner, celebrating the return of a
friend from England . Janice had just gotten back from a fabulous trip, and
she was going on and on about the hotel she stayed in. I was sitting there,
looking around at the others all put together so well. It was hard not to
compare and feel sorry for myself as I looked down at my out-of-style
dress; it was the only thing I could find that was clean. My unwashed hair
was pulled up in a banana clip and I was afraid I could actually smell
peanut butter in it.

I was feeling pretty pathetic, when Janice turned to me with a beautifully
wrapped package, and said, "I brought you this." It was a book on the great
cathedrals of Europe . I wasn't exactly sure why she'd given it to me until
I read her inscription: "To Charlotte , with admiration for the greatness of
what you are building when no one sees."

In the days ahead I would read - no, devour - the book. And I would discover
what would become for me, four life-changing truths, after which I could
pattern my work:

No one can say who built the great cathedrals - we have no record of their
names.

These builders gave their whole lives for a work they would never see
finished.

They made great sacrifices and expected no credit.

The passion of their building was fueled by their faith that the eyes of God
saw everything.

A legendary story in the book told of a rich man who came to visit the
cathedral while it was being built, and he saw a workman carving a tiny bird
on the inside of a beam. He was puzzled and asked the man, "Why are you
spending so much time carving that bird into a beam that will be covered by
the roof? No one will ever see it."
And the workman replied, "Because God sees."

I closed the book, feeling the missing piece fall into place. It was almost
as if I heard God whispering to me, "I see you, Charlotte. I see the
sacrifices you make every day, even when no one around you does. No act
of kindness you've done, no sequin you've sewn on, no cupcake you've
baked, is too small for me to notice and smile over. You are building a
great cathedral, but you can't see right now what it will become."

At times, my invisibility feels like an affliction. But it is not a disease
that is erasing my life. It is the cure for the disease of my own
self-centeredness. It is the antidote to my strong, stubborn pride. I keep
the right perspective when I see myself as a great builder. As one of the
people who show up at a job that they will never see finished, to work on
something that their name will never be on.

The writer of the book went so far as to say that no cathedrals could ever
be built in our lifetime because there are so few people willing to
sacrifice to that degree.

When I really think about it, I don't want my son to tell the friend he's
bringing home from college for Thanksgiving, "My mom gets up at 4 in the
morning and bakes homemade pies, and then she hand bastes a turkey for
three hours and presses all the linens for the table." That would mean I'd
built a shrine or a monument to myself. I just want him to want to come
home. And then, if there is anything more to say to his friend, to add,
"You're gonna love it there."

As mothers, we are building great cathedrals. We cannot be seen if we're
doing it right. And one day, it is very possible that the world will marvel,
not only at what we have built, but at the beauty that has been added to the
world by the sacrifices of invisible women.

I love it. I am red. It is so cool! This is what it means: "Though often torn between love and hate, one thing is for sure, your feelings are never left for others to wonder about."

51 posts!

I didn't realize until just now, that I have posted 50 times. This one makes 51. I have posted 4 or 5 just today. I think this is the most posts that I have done in one day. I did another quiz. This one was a little harder than the American quiz for me. I had only a little trouble because I had to pick the best answer, which wasn't always the greatest answer for me. Read my other posts today, please!

I am Elinor Dashwood!

Take the Quiz here!

Thought I would be a better American!

I thought this number would be higher, unfortunately it is not. I did, however, answer the questions, honestly.

You Are 69% American

Most times you are proud to be an American.
Though sometimes the good ole US of A makes you cringe
Still, you know there's no place better suited to be your home.
You love your freedom and no one's going to take it away from you!

I started a New Blog!

I started a new blog, today. It is all about stamping. This blog will be about my life. The other blog will be wholly devoted to stamping. It is here and also on Blogs, I visit. http://stampingstuff2.blogspot.com/ I have already posted some!

My Sunday School Class Party

On Monday, September 10th, I took my 9 Sunday School girls. We went Mini Golfing, McDonalds, and the Dollar Store. I asked them to bring $5 each. Since I had so many girls, I had 2 helpers. We had to split into 2 groups for golfing. We divided the siblings. I have 2nd - 5th grade girls. I have 4 groups of siblings: Julia & Leeanna, Rose & Jessie, Hannah & Bethany, Melody & Emily, and Lacee (who has one brother). All the kids had half price happy meals (cause I work at McD.'s). My 2 helpers and I had whatever we wanted. The mini golf is always fun. Melody was first for the older kids, followed by Hannah who was second. Lacee ws first for the younger kids, followed by Bethany. After golf, we went to the Dollar Tree. I gave everyone $1 each, except for the winner of golf gets $3, and second place gets $2. It was a lot of fun. I was going to take pictures, but I forgot.

I love to Blog!

I was reading my many blogs saved on my own personal favorites, and I found a few more today. I read blogs every day, or at least every other day. I am so happy, when you post a new post. I always try to comment, because that is just my way. I wish more people would comment on my blog. I have a site counter, and so many people visit my blog, but hardly anyone comments. I copied down a new address of a blog. Here it is, http://blog.ginakdesigns.com/ not only does she make many cards, but she also sells stamps. She even spotlights a new designer every month. I have seriously been thinking of starting a new blog, and linking it with this blog. I would just put stamping related stuff on it. I should do it, but I need to take pictures of my cards. Thanks so much for reading my blog! Thanks even more if you comment!

Tag, I'm it and you may be also!

I was tagged by three time Mommy to do the following: You must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had. When you are tagged you need to write your own blog-post containing your own middle name game facts. At the end of your blog-post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog. Marie is my middle name.

M - More - A little of anything is never enough (especially chocolate), I want more.

A - Amused - I am always easily amused.

R - Rejoicing - I am almost always rejoicing! I love life.

I - Interested - I am usually so curious, I am interested in every I get to go to and things I don't get to go to. I hate missing anything.

E - Ebullient, it means zestfully enthusiastic. - I am always so ebullient to do anything.

Here are the people I tagged.

One 4 day week is over!

School was great this week. Kaylee told her Mom & Dad, "Mrs. Do......... is really, really nice." I did not realize how much of a tongue twister it is to say, "Kaylee & Katie" Their names are really close. You have to speak distinctly! My older classes are fun as well. I enjoy my students.

One of my 7th grade students told me a joke, "Why did the man who got electrocuded not die?"

"Because he was in the Living Room."

First Day at School!

Today, Sept. 4th, was the first day of school. It was a great day! I enjoy my students and I think they enjoy me. My 2 Kindergarten girls are so very cute. We colored, learned things, played a matching card game and go fish. They seemed to have a great day. One told her mom that we had fun.

My older grade classes in the afternoon went well, also.

Last post of Summer 2007

Tomorrow, Sept. 4, is the first day of school. I teach kindergarten until noon. After lunch, I teach a 5th grade science class for 20 min. After that, I teach a 7th grade History class, and an 8th grade history class. I love school. I only decorated my kindergarten class. I have 2 girls, Kaylee & Katie. I decorated my room with princess stuff. We are going to call ourselves princesses. If I do get a boy in the middle of the year, he will be called a prince. Today, was the last full day of summer for me. I slept until 10:30 a.m. However, I spent the rest of the day getting ready. I don't sleep well the night before school starts. I am too excited, or anxious! I am going to take a Benadrill to help me sleep. I am going to play a computer game for a little while, read my Bible, take my medicine, and try to sleep, well.

Some Pictures of my Friends

This is my friend Thomas, Shona, & Raven (baby).

Pictures of Montana

This is Castle Rock Mountain, it is about 30 minutes south of Bozeman. I zoomed the camera in because I wanted you to see why it is called Castle Rock. Our church's camp is located below this mountain. I went there twice this year, once as a counselor, and once with my family for family camp. It is such a joy to be out and see this beautiful place. I usually get to see it twice a year. The stars shine so brightly here, away from most other lights that hinder the view of the stars.

My mom took this picture. This is a sunset. It shows you just how smokey our sky has been. It has not been "A Big Sky." You can't see as far as you usually can see under different circumstances. There is a website that tells you about the fires. Here it is http://www.inciweb.org/state/27/

Stamping & Scrapbooking 2

As I was reading other blogs, like I try to do every day. I came across a great blog or website that shows you maps (designs) for scrapbook pages of various sizes, or cards of various sizes. It doesn't tell you what stamps or paper to use. It just gives you a way to use your own creativity, but it helps you in that it gives you a basic layout. http://www.pagemaps.com/ I always need a little help, and this is great. You can even save the layout if you want to view it again. I think I will also post this site on the side of my blog.

My son, Jonah, who is my only son, is off for college, tomorrow. He starts the day after labor day, September 4th. He is driving back. He has to be in Crown Point, IN, which is an hour away from Chicago. He will start his senior year. His graduation will be in May of 2008. This is a picture of Jonah & a dear friend of ours. I am glad that he will be in his senior year, but I will miss him again. School has not started for me, yet. I am a teacher for a private school. It will start the day after labor day. I may post again before I start school, but the end of summer 2007 is near.

Ribbon Swap

I joined a ribbon swap. I sent 10 yards of ribbon with a self-addressed stamped envelope to Washington State. The ribbon was cut into yard segments. There were 25 people in the swap, five groups of five. I get 10 yards sent back to me. I can't wait to see all my ribbon. I am still wanting to hook up the scanner, so I could scan some cards and pictures. I would put them on my blog.

Stamping & Scrapbooking

I added 2 new links to my blog. Both of them are about stamping and scrapbooking. I make more cards then I do scrapbook pages. I love my blog. I visit these sites about once a week. I like The Scrapbook Lounge. They show you how to make many things.

Montana's Sky

Montana is the "Big Sky Country." Unfortunately, most of this summer, it has been covered with smoke. It has also covered our cars with ash. This has been a bad fire season, with many fires still raging. We have not been in any danger where we live, but the skies sure have been hazy 24 hours a day with smoke. If you are interested in knowing more. I found a great website, with information being updated frequently. The address is http://www.inciweb.org/state/27/ . It tells you where the fire is, how much the fire is contained, and how many arces have burned. You do need to realize that Montana is mostly rural that means that the fires have not done a lot of property damage. It also means that very few lives have been lost, unfortunately, most of them were the fire fighters, themselves.

So Sick

I have been so sick since Sunday. I saw the Doctor, yesterday, with a multitude of symptoms. Anyway. I won't drone on about it. I am feeling a lot better today.

I am a teacher at a private school. I have not been able to get my room ready, because I have been so sick. School starts 2 weeks from today, scary. Most of the other teachers have been already working hard for weeks.

Funny Things Kids Say

These are quotes from kids at my church.
Charity (about 4 or 5 years old: "I haven't seen you in a while."
Jonah (my son): "I haven't seen you in a while either."
Later that day.
Jonah: "Chairty, I haven't seen you in a while"
Charity: "Me, neither!"

This happened when I was in the nursery, with kids about one year olds to three year olds. A boy handed me a hula hoop.
Jonathan: "Do it!"
Me: I can do it on my arm really well.
I demonstrated.
Jonathan: "No, do it on your skirt."

Blogging

I love to read blogs and make comments on others blogs. Even when Mindy is having a bad day, she is still worth reading. As well as, my interesting cousins in Jordan. If you want to read those blogs, see the links on my page. I have also gotten interested in many people's blogs that make things, stamping, scrapbooking, cards, crafts. The blog has so many interesting people that post so many interesting things. My favorites file, called blogging, has grown to about 17 blogs from just 2 blogs. I try to check them every day, or at least every other day. Only 3 more weeks until I start teaching school again. I am not ready. If anyone of you know blogs from other teachers, please let me know. I would love to read them. Yesterday, I got together with a girlfriend, we made about 7 stamped cards each, and watched a funny video by a Christian comedian. I was a lot of fun. If I could figure out how to use my scanner, I would display my cards on my blog. Any way, everybody blog!

More Fun, shorter slide shows

This one is funny, I don't exactly like the song, but I love the funny pictures. This is a pretty short one.

This one has pictures of Jim, Jonah, and I. It is a little more serious.

http://www.onetruemedia.com/shared?p=34e369df7c3cf3990012f2&skin_id=407&utm_source=otm&utm_medium=text_url

A very cool slide show, lots of family and friends are pictured here. I also put some funny stuff at the end. LOL, it was fun and free to create. You can also add your own music. This one is really long, but worth it. If you don't like the music, just turn it off.

State Fair, Fun, Friends, and Lots of Laughter

Lol, I went to the state fair, with Jonah & Hubby and a friend of Jonah's. While we were there we were joined by 2 girl friends of mine. Any way, we were getting a funnel cake with lots of powdered sugar on it. My friends decided to have a powdered sugar fight, they got powdered sugar all over each other (clothes, hair, shoes). It was fun, I laughed and they laughed.

So then we went to wal-mart, and it was very late. My feet were hurting me, so my friend decided to have me drive one of the carts. They really don't move very fast. We got to the soda aisle. I needed some, so I got off of the cart and had to reach way back and pull one off the shelf. I knocked another 12 pack off of the shelf and onto the floor. Cans went everywhere. It was embarrassing, but also funny. I was laughing too hard, so my friend tried to clean it up. I tried to make a fast get away in my cart, but the battery went out. My friend push, pulled, and dragged that driving cart up to the front of the store. I was laughing way too hard. We get to the cashier aisle. The lady asks my friend what was going on, she procedes to tell her of our adventures, which is now making me laugh even harder. While I am laughing, she is buying her groceries. She drops her ice cream on the ground. A man hits me in the back with his T.V. ladden shopping cart. At least he didn't hurt me, but it sure made me laugh all the more. I am laughing even while writing this story. Lol, it was so funny!

Jonah & I had a great time at camp. Some of the highlights are: duct-tape, cardboard boats floating down the creek; pillow fights late at night with about 15 girls; chapel; box hockey; playing in the creek; mini (olympic type) competitions. It was really a lot of fun. I will put pictures from camp on the blog.

Friday night & Saturday

Friday night, I went to my monthly stamping club party. I sure do enjoy those. Not only, do I learn new ideas, but also, get to add to my stamping collection. I love the two cards we made. The food was delicious! There was some imitation crab dip with cream cheese, cheese, onions, and cocktail sauce, as well as, fruit pizza.

Saturday was a busy day at McDonalds. When I got done at 2 p.m., I rented 2 movies at red box. "Air Buddies," I watched already which was cute and heart warming. I am going to watch the new "Casino Royale;" which I am sure will be very good as well. Yes, I am a James Bond fan. I have always liked to watch the spy movies, as well.

Sprint Car Racing

Last night, Jonah & I were invited to the Electric City Speedway in Great Falls, MT. Boy, was it fun. Not only did we watch 2 very good and exciting races, but Dr. Dangerous was there. He got into a car that exploded and was lit on fire. He escaped! It was really exciting! This is a picture of the Electric City Speedway.

You Tube & Camping

I watched many videos on "you tube" today. LOL, I especially like the ones with the animals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuMMfgWhm3g this one would win my vote if I got to vote. Next week, my son & I will be going to camp to be counselors. We leave next Monday, and get back that Saturday. We go to Camp Castle Rock, 30 miles South from Bozeman, MT. It is beautiful up there. I have been a counselor for about 18 years there. I enjoy it, a lot! I will miss blogging, but I will blog when I get home. This shot was not taken by me, but it is at the top of Castle Rock Mountain. I should take a picture of it while I am there and post it on my blog. I have been up there, once. That was enough! When we camp there, we have little cabins to stay in, with a short walk to bathrooms. It is not really rough camping! It is fun for the kids and counselors.

Pampered Chef Party

We had so much fun tonight. I had a Pampered Chef Party. Mindy was my consultant and we had the party at her house. She had us make the dessert using a "hand's on" method. It made us see how much easier the products are to use. We made this wonderful dessert, called a Berry Lime Trifle. It was very delicious. This is the trifle bowl, of course we had dessert and not flowers. It was fun to make. The Pampered Chef address is http://www.pamperedchef.com/

Playing Rook every Sunday Night!

Every Sunday night my friends and I get together and play rook. It is so much fun! We laugh a lot, eat food, and play rook. There are 2 free rook games on my blog see the links. Anyway we got together last night, because Sarah, one of my good friends is going back to college this weekend. Here is a picture of her. I am going to miss her, but I am glad she is going to college.

Spent time with Family!

My sister, Angie, brother-in-law, Richard, niece, Sabrina came to Cascade on Monday & Tuesday. They left to go to Lewistown, MT,where they used to live. Here are 2 pictures of my niece, Sabrina. One with her new car, which she won't be able to drive for 2 years. The other picture is her with mud pies that she made with her brother Luis, years ago! LOL! Time goes by too fast. It was great to be with family for a couple of days. I am glad that I got to see my Mom, who lives in Cascade, MT.

More Movies

It seems like since Jonah and I have discovered red box, http://www.redbox.com all we do is watch movies. Yesterday, we watched "Ice Age 2," and "The Sentinel". Today, we watched "Open Season," and "The Illusionist" I have seen "Ice Age 2," as well as "Open Season," before, but they are still good. "The Sentinel" was very good with lots of twists in the plot. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0443632/ I like action packed movies, this one starts slowly after the opening title, then it moves a lot faster.

Thanks Dan & Duffy for your great blog with pictures. Thanks Mindy for your comment. I sure enjoy blogging, and enjoy reading your blogs as well. I have about 6 saved on my favorites.

The 4th of July

The 4th of July was a great time! We had a picnic, listened to a singing group, had Church, and watched the fireworks. Surprisingly, no one got hurt, as we watched them light off their load. It is always fun to get together with people and celebrate our independence.

I was reading blogs from strangers, again. It made me realize how important blogging can be. Everyone blog! LOL

Last Night was a great Night!

Jim, Jonah, and I watched 2 good movies, "Garfield: A tale of 2 kitties," and "Flushed Away." We also watched, "Iron Man," but it was not very good at all. It is always a treat to have Jim join us for the movies. I made 5 cards from my stamping/paper stuff, that I buy from "Close to my Heart." They turned out really cute. I don't know what it is about mailing anything. It seems I have a mental block, when it comes to snail mail. I can address them and never mail them. Sometimes, we don't have stamps or whatever. Sometimes is is just procrastination. Any how, I would like to overcome my mailing block. Mail them to my Mom, Dad, and Sisters.

Wow, Summer is flying by too fast!

A day off of work, some times it is fun just to bum around, when I am not working. If I am not careful though, summer will go by to fast. It will be back at school again. The movie "The Shooter" was full of action.

This blogging thing is very cool!

I think blogging can become an addiction. I want to tell lots of people about my blog, and hope people will read and comment. I try to comment when I read. I like Mindy's blog article entitled "To blog or not to blog." I like adding pictures and writing often in my blog. I think that every one who has high speed internet should blog. LOL I have learned a lot blogging and reading blogs. Sometimes, I wonder if I have shared too much information about myself. You can use your creative juices, when you write on your own blog, or comment on other's blogs. I could just ramble on and on . . .

This is a picture of Shelly Long. I watched the end of the movie, "Outrageous Fortune." Bette Midler and Shelly Long were the stars. It was action packed and funny.

Wow, some great movies, I have watched in the last couple of days: Apocalypto, Flicka, Cars, Night at the Museum. These were all great movies, but Night at the Museum still gets my greatest vote. Apocalypto would come in second. I am glad to meet so many great bloggers out there. I am still reading Mindy's blog and Dan & Duffy's blog close to daily. If they write anything new, I am always commenting on them. Thanks Mindy for your comments.

So Tired . . .

Vacation Bible School was great. Lots of kids had a lot of fun. I had 2nd Grade Girls in my class. Now, I am so tired! I think I am over the doldrum feeling from not taking steroids any more. I still need to get an Epi Pen in case I get stung by any kind of stinging bee, hornet, or yellow jacket.

Lack of Steroids . . .

On Friday and Saturday, I have been free of steroids. Lifeless, listless, blob is what I feel like! I know that I do have life, but no steroids what a downer. Before I felt so strong and hyper, now I feel so week and tired. I am fighting sleep and many yawns. I didn't really sleep for about 5 days. Now, all I want to do is sleep. The great paradox is my life.

Discovery of Red Box

Jonah discovered this thing called redbox http://www.redbox.com/. Anyhow, it is a great and easy way to rent videos at $1 each night. I rented the movie, "The Ant Bully." I couldn't believe what an all star cast it has for an animated film. It was great! I liked it a lot. I worked at McDonalds as normal on Saturdays. We weren't too busy

Thank You! I am much better.

I feel much better today! Thanks all for your concern! I watched an awesome movie 2 nights ago. It was called, "Night at the Museum." It was great! I laughed, I cried (well not really), it moved me! Next week every evening from Sunday - Thursday, I will be working at Vacation Bible School. It will be fun! Those kids are neat to be able to spend time with! Keep Blogging! Have a great day!

Yesterday!

Yesterday, I went to the doctor, cause my rash was worse. The doctor said it was still left over from Saturday, when the yellow jacket bit me. Read one scary day. Any how, the rash is almost gone today and I feel so much better. I am taking steroids. It is interesting, I am hungry all of the time. I feel like I could lift the statue of liberty and hold her for a long time. However, because of the itch, I am also taking Benadryl. It makes me sleepy for 2 to 4 hours. Steroids keep me awake late at night, but the Benadryl makes me sleepy. At least the steroids will only be for 3 more days. All I want to do is eat, sleep, and climb Mount Everest. It's a good thing it is summer. I hate missing school.
I love to blog. I read some blogs every day. Dan and Duffy's blog, and Mindy's blog. I have been playing too many computer games again as usuall. Soon I will start my summer hours at McDonalds. I enjoy working there. I won't have as much time for computing. Anyway have a great day. Thanks for reading my posts.

One scary day . . .

Saturday, June 9th, 2007 was one of the scarest on record for me. I got stung by a yellow jacket in my own house. It was close to 1 p.m., I was getting ready to go to a graduation. I felt very peculiar (more than most days). My souls of my feet, the palms of my hands, and my ears itched. My ears also felt like they were on fire. As I tried to stand, I felt dizzy. My hubby was going to drive me to the emergency room. I was standing outside holding on to the car, when I fainted. My hubby was nearby, so he caught my head so I didn't hit the concrete. We called 911, they were there in a hurry. It was very scary. I didn't have anaphylactic shock; I had a sever allergic reaction, however. I had been bitten before, but never had this kind of a reaction.

A few jokes

Wedding Vows
A grandmother overheard her 5-year-old granddaughter playing "wedding." The wedding vows went like this: "You have the right to remain silent, anything you say may be held against you, you have the right to have an attorney present. You may kiss the bride." This really made me laugh.

What do you call something that is Irish and stays out all night? Patio Furniture

This is my friend San's baby. She is so cute. She has 8 siblings, two brothers and six sisters. She is an aunt 2 times before she is even a year old. Her name is Abigail, we call her "Abby."

I found this weird picture, and thought it was so funny.

I think everyone should blog. There are many blogs, with so little time. You have to have high speed to blog, though. I think Mindy's blog, where she talked about "To blog or not to blog," was so funny. You can see my link to her site at the right. I think I could spend all my time looking at and reading interesting blogs. I think http://deborahcjohnson.blogspot.com/ is great. She is an illustrator for children's books. She draws beautiful pictures.

I spend too much time on the computer already. I am a huge computer gamer. That is all I do is play games. It is so much fun!

Relatives

Dan and Duffys blog's address is http://danandduffy.blogspot.com/ . It tells about their newest adventures. It is interesting and informative.

Jonah is home safe and sound. He got home on Friday, June 1st, all safe and sound.

I am done with school for this year. I finished on June 6th. Next year will be her 10th year at Heritage Baptist School. Hopefully, I will accomplish all I want to for the summer.

My mom and my little sister will be traveling to Spring Grove, Minnesota for Home Coming and Reunion. I wish I was going.

I bought 3 supports from the good feet store. They seem to be wonderful. I have not had as much pain since I got them. I am feeling better every day.

Jim, Julie, and Jonah's Blog

I decided since Dan and Duffy have this great new blog. I would also start my own. Jonah is traveling home from college all by himself. This is his first traveling adventure on his own. I think he is enjoying his freedom. His dad always use to accompany him on all his journeys (coming and going). He is going to be a senior in college next year. He is going to Hyles-Anderson College, which is an hour away from Chicago. http://www.hylesanderson.com

Besides my only son, Jonah. I have many other interests. I love to read. I have read many books by Janette Oke http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/o/janette-oke/. She is a tremendous Christian Romance author. I have read lots of Historical books as well. One of my favorite is Undaunted Courage by Stephen E. Ambrose. I did not know how much I liked History until I was done with High School. Now I am a History buff. I love to make cards and some scrapbooking. Mostly, I make cards from scratch http://scrapingmania.myctmh.com . I also cross-stitch, but I haven't taken the time to do that in years. I love to do Sudoku puzzles and I do it at least once a day http://www.websudoku.com/. I also read through my Bible each day http://www.audio-bible.com/bible/bible.html. I have read it through a number of years. I enjoy going to and spending time at my Church. http://heritagebaptistchurchofgf.com/ HeritageBaptistChurchOnline@groups.msn.com

This was a picture that was taken of me on May 5, 2007. I was a speaker at a Lady's meeting at Fairview Baptist Church. My topic was called, "The Master's Hands of Joyfulness." I really had a great time speaking. I talked about being joyful in the times of trials.

I love teaching. I have been a teacher since September 3, 1996, for one year at Treasure State Academy. http://www.fairview4u.org/ I have been teaching at Heritage Baptist School for 9 years, since 1997. I also have worked for McDonald's restaurant as a lobby hostess during the summer and during the school year for 3 days. Life is busy, but great.

My husband Jim and I have been married for 25 years this November 26, 2007. He works at McDonalds as well. He is the maintenance man, so he starts work at 5 a.m.
